Pouring the soup from the pan to your own bowl directly may result in spills on the table. However, the Easy Soup Mat solves these problems by providing a convenient solution. It can support the pan firmly, allowing people to enjoy the soup without disturbing others.

The Easy Soup Mat, designed by Yiteng Shih, Yuxiang Sun, and Qingli Chen, is a thermal insulation mat that also acts as a support for soup ladles. Made from silicon rubber through injection molding, this mat is both practical and innovative. Its unique design allows it to function as a regular thermal insulation mat, but when needed, it can be transformed into a pan support by flipping the center up and against one end to the edge, and placing the pan onto it.

The specifications of the Easy Soup Mat are as follows: outside measurements of diameter 20cm, rim thickness of 2cm, and inner surface thickness of 0.5cm. The design team, which also includes Chienying Shih and Peiti Liu, conducted extensive research and experimentation to develop the best-performing model. The project started in May in Ningbo, China, and was completed on June 28th.

The Easy Soup Mat has received recognition for its excellence in design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware, and Cookware Design category in 2015.
